The south facing lounge where guests are welcome to relax has a light sunny aspect, and guests can dip into the library of local information and also guide books ranging from local walks to wild flowers guides. OS maps for Dartmoor National Park and many other local landscapes can be borrowed for days out exploring. Of course we provide that modern essential – full internet access in all rooms to help plan your day and get the most out of your stay. 

Guests are also very welcome to enjoy the south facing Chapel Garden terrace and beautifully planted gardens, including sitting in the formal garden to enjoy a quiet read or glass of wine.

Breakfast Options

The Georgian dining room was originally part of the old farm cottages that were built around 1550 AD. Antique furniture and paintings are complimented by a vibrant wallpaper that echoes the Chapel Garden. Two antique tables have views through the two original Georgian windows overlooking the Chapel garden, whilst the large Victorian dining table is ideal for family and friends parties.

Breakfasting on antique tables, with Royal Worcestershire fine bone China, with only the very best quality, locally and ethically sourced breakfast choices gets the day off to a perfect start.

Million £ Views

There is plenty of free on-site parking on the carriage drive. 

Accessibility Information

Number of Floors: 2. Wide, shallow stairs, with handrail, to the first floor bedrooms. Walk-in ensuite showers in each bedroom.

Unfortunately due to the Sandhill House’s listed building status and the Tamar Orchard Barn they are not suitable for guests with significant mobility issues. We can however, recommend a truly lovely holiday stay at Todsworthy Farm in Albaston where their facilities have been developed to a very high level.
