Juan Martín is among the top Flamenco guitarists in the world. He has a highly distinctive composition style influenced by his time in Malaga and Madrid, where he was tutored by Paco de Lucia. Through the years he has recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and iconic artists including Miles Davis.
Well! Who’d have believed! It was only after a bit of detective work, on the very interesting email address, that we realised that we are going to be lucky enough to have this world famous Flamenco guitarist staying with us at Sandhill House.
The guitarist/composer plays and introduces his compositions within the forms of the great tradition. His exquisite style is enhanced through minimal amplification to capture his very pure flamenco sound: just Juan and his sublime guitar to lift and transport you to another dimension of melodic beauty and rhythmic passion. Viva el arte!
