Tavistock Garden Festival 2018   27 – 28 May

Held throughout the town now, Tavistock Pannier Market played host to the first Tavistock Garden Festival in May 2005.  Since then this very popular event has continued to grow to become a firm fixture on Tavistock’s events calendar for all those who love gardens and gardening.

In 2018 the event will take place in, and around, the Pannier Market, Bedford Square and Guildhall Car Park. There is a long list of exhibitors ranging from those providing shade tolerant, to hardy perennials and exotic plants through to garden supports and art.

Tavistock is the Gateway to Cornwall and West Devon Mining World Heritage Site. Straddling the fast flowing river Tavy, below the western edge of Dartmoor, Tavistock stands in the heart of an area of tremendous natural beauty. It is a classic West Country Market Town, with the old streets radiating from Bedford Square. You can find an eclectic mix of small independent shops, including delicatessens famous throughout the South West. Venture behind the Town Hall to discover the award winning and historic 900+ year old Pannier Market which will have just re-opened after a massive ‘make-over’. The Market bustles with activity on most days of the week and will be ‘buzzing’ during the Festival.
